About Caroline
Caroline's repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary. Her ongoing collaboration with
Marc Minkowski has made her a choice interpreter of 18th-century music. She has appeared
in roles such as Dalinda (Ariodante - Handel), Blondchen (Entführung aus dem Serail -
Mozart)and Ismene (Mitridate, re di Ponto - Mozart), as well as Fire, La Princesse and Le
Rossignol (L'Enfant et les Sortilèges - Ravel), in the title role of Boieldieu's Dame Blanche
or as the Fairy in Philippe Boesmans' Pinocchio.

“Caroline Jestaedt dazzles in a technically flawless “Caro nome”, with suspended, well-
controlled high notes and lovely legato.”

She won 2nd prize at the Hugo Wolf Competition in Sofia and the Student Jury Prize at the
Enschede International Duo Competition.
This season, she is recording songs by composer
JPE Hartmann with pianist Thomas
Waelbroeck for a forthcoming CD. In collaboration with pianist Simon de Paepe, she is also
working on the vocal repertoire of Belgian composer August de Boeck.
Caroline devotes part of her career to chamber music and projects aimed at rediscovering
little-known repertoires. At the Hochschule für Musik Hans Eisler in Berlin, she completed a
master's degree specializing in Lied. During her studies at the Universität für Musik und
darstellende Kunst in Vienna, she met the bass Robert Holl who quickly became a mentor and
has regularly invited her to
take part in Schubertiades in Austria and the Netherlands.
MEDIAS

“Caroline Jestaedt imposes a hieratic stature to the roles of Fire and Princess, but is also a
stratospheric nightingale.”
